"I graduated from Northland College in 2005 with my bachelors degree in K-12 Physical Education. Additionally I played baseball at Northland College. After a few years of substitute teaching and working in a day-treatment facility I worked in the Butternut School District for 13 years. During this time I received my Masters in Special Education from U-W Superior, and then my Principal’s License as well from U-W Superior. I was the Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach for 12 years, In addition I coached Middle School Boys Basketball( 2 years), and Middle School Track(2years) , as well as being the Athletic Director for 11 years. This is my 2nd year in the Mellen School District as the high school special education teacher. I am excited to have the opportunity to teach and be a part of the community in which I live. Currently I am the assistant coach for high school volleyball and the head coach for the middle school track program. I enjoy helping with basketball, and softball as well for our MYAA youth sports. For the past 4 years I have coached for Northland Elite Basketball Club for 13U-17U Boys and this year I will be coaching a 10U girls team as well.
When my wife Amanda, our daughter Sophie and I are not in a gym, I enjoy spending time hunting, fishing, trapping and planting our vegetable garden."

"I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Superior with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Reading and Language Arts. A few months after I was hired at the Mellen School, I went back to school to get my 316 Reading License. Years later, I received my master's degree in Collaborative Education from Fielding University out of Santa Barbara, California. Other recognitions include: The Pre-Service Educator Mentor Award from (WICTE) the Wisconsin Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.
In addition to teaching in the district for 20 years, I have also been coaching in the district for 18 years: 16 years for high school volleyball, 18 years for middle school, and 2 years for high school track. During my time coaching we have been Conference Champions 3 times, Regional Champions 4 times, and a sectional finalist once. I have been named Conference Coach of the Year 6 times.
When I am not in the gym or on a track, you can find me in the kitchen baking something tasty, in a blind hunting turkeys or deer, or spending time with my family. "
